Storyline: 

A factory worker must protect his son during the 1992 L.A. uprising after the Rodney King verdict. In 1992, Mercer (Gibson) is desperately trying to rebuild his life and relationship with his son (Christopher A'mmanuel) amid the turbulent 1992 L.A. uprising following the Rodney King verdict.
