Babasının intikamını arayan, zeki ve hain bir Rohan lordu olan Wulf’un ani saldırısı, Rohan Kralı Helm Hammerhand’ı ve halkını, Hornburg adlı antik kalede cesurca bir son direniş sergilemeye zorlar. Orijinal film üçlemesinde anlatılan olaylardan 183 yıl önce geçen bu hikâye, efsanevi Rohan Kralı Helm Hammerhand’ın hanedanının kaderini anlatır. Rohan'ın zeki ve acımasız bir lordu olan Wulf'un ani saldırısı, babasının ölümünün intikamını almak isteyen ve Dunland ile birçok bağı olan, kökeni şüpheli olan Wulf, Helm ve halkını, daha sonra Helm's Deep olarak anılacak olan muazzam bir kale olan Hornburg'un antik kalesinde cesurca bir son direniş göstermeye zorlar. Giderek daha umutsuz bir duruma düşen Helm’in kızı Héra, kendilerini tamamen yok etmeye niyetli ölümcül bir düşmana karşı direnişi yönetmek için irade toplamak zorundadır.

Storyline: 

A sudden attack by Wulf, a clever and traitorous lord of Rohan seeking vengeance for the death of his father, forces Helm Hammerhand, the King of Rohan, and his people to make a daring last stand in the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg.
